Privacy Policy for Bookmarklet Sync from GitHub

Data Collection
This extension collects the following information, which is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s chrome.storage.sync
API:
- GitHub organization or username
- Repository name
- GitHub personal access token (if provided, for private repositories)
- Bookmark folder name
No data is transmitted to any external servers other than the official GitHub API, and only for the purpose of synchronizing your bookmarks with your specified repository.
Data Usage
- The collected data is used solely to enable the extension’s core functionality: syncing bookmarks from your GitHub repository to your browser.
- Your GitHub token, if provided, is used only to authenticate requests to the GitHub API and is never shared or transmitted to any third-party service.
Data Sharing
- This extension does not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties.
- All data remains private and is only accessible to you through your browser.
Security
- Your GitHub token and other settings are stored securely using Chrome’s extension storage and are not accessible to other websites or extensions.
- Communication with GitHub is performed over HTTPS.
User Control
- You may remove or update your stored data at any time via the extension’s popup interface.
- Uninstalling the extension will remove all stored data from your browser.

This privacy policy may be updated as the extension evolves. Any changes will be reflected here.
